ACTIVITIES:

1. WRITE A DIARY ENTRY

      Choose a president

      Read all the facts

       Pretend you are the person on the card. Write a diary entry for an important day in your life.

       Be sure to describe what happened on that day, what you did, and how you feel about it. 

2. MAKE A BIOGRAPHY CUBE (ask Ms. Storm for an outline)

     Choose a president

       On ne side of the cube, draw a picture of the person and write that person's name

      On each of the other sides, write a fact about the person

      Cut out the cube and glue it together as instructed

3. BE A REPORTER

       Choose a president

      Read the facts

      Pretend you are  reporter who is interviewing the person on your card. Write down your interview. Include the questins you want to ask         and what you think the person might answer.

4. WHAT ELSE DO YOU WANT TO KNOW?

     Choose a president of who you would like to interview

        Read all the information 

        On a sheet of paper, make a list of additional information you would like to find out about the person

        If you can, do some research on your own to find that information. Write down what you learn.

5. WRITE A POEM

      (ASK MS. STORM FOR THE HANDOUT)

6. COMPARE AND CONTRAST

      Choose 2 presidents

     Read the facts on both

    On a sheet of paper, list the ways in which the two people were similiar  (same)

     Then list the ways in which the two people were different (different)
